Compression Therapy FAQs

Here are some of our clients’ most commonly asked questions about using Compression Therapy, but if you would like to know more, just click here to contact one of our specialists!

During a session, you’ll relax in a comfortable position while our skilled staff fits the inflatable sleeves onto the targeted area of your body. The treatment typically lasts between 30-60 minutes, during which you’ll experience a gentle, rhythmic compression. Most clients find the treatment relaxing and rejuvenating.

Compression Therapy can be done as often as needed, so our experienced staff at Chill Zone Cryo will work with you to create a personalized wellness plan tailored to your individual needs and goals.

The process feels like a very tight squeeze that works its way up from the bottom of the sleeve to the different chambers. It actually feels very relaxing and soothing, especially to sore, tired muscles. It is not painful, but can be a very intense pressure, ranging from level 1 to 7.
No, there is not. Compression Therapy uses compressed air, generated from the motor that is connected to the hoses.
We advise that you wear comfortable, tight-fitting clothes. The reason for this is at times the sleeves can compress fairly tight and looser fitting clothing can bunch up, causing an uncomfortable experience.

There are 3 different sleeve sets:
– One is for the arms: Compression starts at the fingertips and works its way up towards the scapula.
– The second set is for the hips: Compression starts at mid-thigh and works its way to the lower back and abdomen.
– The last sleeve set is for the legs: Compression starts at the toes and works its way to the top of the thigh.

This treatment is most commonly used to help with areas of poor circulation, whether that is from a tough workout resulting in pain and inflammation, from an injury, or from post-surgical inflammation. Compression Therapy helps to break up the lactic acid that builds up in the muscle tissue.

We recommend not using this treatment when you have deep vein thrombosis, an open wound, stitches, or a skin rash. And, the unit should never be used on the area of a broken bone or fracture that has not fully healed.

There is no age limit to using Compression, but the client must be able to properly fit in the sleeves without causing injury.

No, we do not accept insurance policies. You can always ask your insurance provider if they can reimburse you, but we do not accept insurance for payment. Many of our clients use their health savings account cards just like a credit card.

Memberships allow access to multiple recovery modalities and represent a greater value over single and multisession package pricing. (Please refer to the Session and Membership sheet.) More importantly, the membership model produces the best outcomes, regardless of your reason for seeking recovery. In an average month with multiple modalities available to you, we are confident you will see superior results when compared with single sessions or even a package of sessions. All membership levels include access to two or more modalities, plus additional discounts. The 25, 50 and 100 packs can be shared among multiple persons, but memberships can only be purchased under one person’s name.
